'Game-changer' injection fights asthma attacks

A JAB to treat severe asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease attacks could be a "game-changing" first leap forward in medication for 50 years, experts believe.

Offering patients an injection is more effective than the current use of steroid tablets and cuts the need for further treatment by 30%, according to a study.

Benralizumab is an antibody that targets specific white blood cells, called eosinophils, to reduce lung inflammation.
