Two of stowaways seriously ill, police say

SIX migrants were rushed to hospital yesterday after being discovered in a refrigerated lorry on a ferry.

Twenty ambulances and police cars raced to the Port of Newhaven in Sussex after the alarm was raised on the crossing from Dieppe in France.

Two of the migrants were last night reported to be seriously ill. Paramedics treated the group at the port before they were taken to hospital.

Police said a man was arrested on suspicion of facilitating illegal entry to the UK and a second man was held for illegally entering the country.
