American TV star who quit US hunts for bigger house
ELLEN DeGeneres has put her £22.5million Cotswolds pile up for sale just over a year after buying it — after the US TV host quit her country due to President Donald Trump’s reelection.
The star, 67, and fellow actress wife Portia de Rossi moved to Kitesbridge Farm in Asthall village, near the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and Elizabeth Hurley, but now want a larger home.
Hollywood star Ellen said of the decision: “We decided we needed a different house, and now we are selling that house. So if anyone wants a house, it’s a beautiful stone farmhouse.”
The sprawling West Oxfordshire estate lies on 43 acres of land and features seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms and its own guest cottage.
