'Dad would be so proud'

STRICTLY Come Dancing host Tess Daly said her father would have been “so proud of his daughter meeting the King, in a castle” as she received her MBE yesterday.
Tess, 56, was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to broadcasting in the King's Birthday Honours.
At her investiture at Windsor Castle yesterday she said it was the “greatest honour” of her career.
Tess, who was accompanied by husband Raduio 2 presenter Vernon Kay and their daughter Phoebe, said: “His Majesty put me at ease - I was quite nervous. We talked about the show, and I know the Queen enjoys it.

“She sent me a letter of congratulations when I received the MBE, which meant the world.”
She added: “I will never forget this day for the rest of my life.
