Cherish your wonderful memories of the Queen'

THE Princess of Wales has urged people to "hold on to and cherish" their "wonderful" memories of Queen Elizabeth II on the first anniversary of her death
Kate wore earrings that once belonged to the late monarch as she attended a private service at St Davids Cathedral in Pembrokeshire with husband Prince William.
The couple travelled by helicopter for the short ceremony, which saw Kate poignantly place a floral tribute of white roses in front of a framed photograph of the Queen.
After laying the flowers, the Prince and Princess stood for 10 seconds in quiet contemplation with their heads slightly bowed, before turning and walking away.
Outside the cathedral, Kate met flying instructor Patricia Mawuli Porter OBE who spoke of the Queen's warmth.
The Princess told her: "We all have wonderful memories of her. We have to hold on to them, cherish them." Hundreds of well-wishers had gathered in the grounds from dawn and were delighted when the couple arrived after fog delayed their landing.
Late summer sunshine then broke through to match the warmest of welcomes.
