Burgess wants to take a Giant step forward

ENGLAND prop Tom Burgess admits winless Huddersfield will be “screwed” if they do not sort themselves out soon.

Luke Robinson’s side are still waiting to get off the mark after losing all six Super League games so far.

Sunday’s 50-4 hammering by leaders Hull KR was their biggest defeat yet and they show no sign of getting off the bottom.

Having also been dumped out of the Challenge Cup, it is hardly the homecoming Burgess envisaged when ending his glittering 12-year career with NRL’s South Sydney in the off-season.

The marquee signing hoped to fire Huddersfield towards silverware but injuries have ravaged their start to the season.
