British pair crash out
Daily Express
|June 03, 2025
JACK DRAPER admitted that he remained "a long way behind" the top two stars in tennis after crashing out of the French Open to the world No.62.
Draper then said he could not wait to get home for the grass-court season and Wimbledon.
The world No. 5 followed Cam Norrie, right, through the Roland Garros exit doors when he was shocked in four sets by Russian-born Kazakh Alexander Bublik.
Draper had been seeded to face his friend and world No.1 Jannik Sinner in the quarter-finals, while Carlos Alcaraz is the title-holder here. The US Open semi-finalist said: "I still think I'm a long way behind those boys. I still have lots to learn - they are probably a year, two years ahead of me and have achieved a lot more, have a lot more experience.
