Brit actors will protest to support US actors' strike

UK stars will hold protest rallies this week in a show of solidarity with their striking Hollywood counterparts.

Tomorrow's protests in protests in London and Manchester come a week after Equity's sister US union, the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists began major industrial action.

It has caused huge disruption to Hollywood productions, premieres, and conventions.

Sag-Aftra actors walked off sets after talks with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers broke down over royaltystyle payments and artificial intelligence.
