Bistro boss branded 'baby killer' by hat mob after Sir Keir has family meal

Sir Keir was visiting relatives and friends in Leeds at the weekend after an official engagement and visited La Bistro eaterie in the village of Horsforth where he once lived.

The politician posed for a quick photograph with Turkish-born owner Bulent Yalcin who posted the snap on his restaurant's Facebook page.

But Bulent has now been targeted by seething pro-Palestinian extremists making vile accusations over where he stands on the war in Gaza.

Labour leader Sir Keir has been criticised for his stance on the conflict which mirrors that of PM Rishi Sunak - after stating Israel has every right to defend itself following the Hamas atrocities of October 7.

Reaction

He is calling for a "sustainable ceasefire" but that has not appeased those who disagree with him, including some members of his party.
