Bell-ringer caused a ding-dong when he ripped out gate

A RETIRED bank boss and his wife beat a bell-ringer in a court ding-dong after he tore out their gate the day they moved in.

Nicholas Partick-Hiley had bought a £2million Fulham mews cottage as a dream retirement location with his wife Lisa.

But on the day of completion the former Panmure Gordon financier found neighbour Adrian Udal taking out a door and roller gate that secured the front of their new home in an act of “wanton destruction”.

The couple sued for an injunction against Mr Udal, 65, claiming the right to put up new gates across an opening which leads to their house and citing “security concerns” in the affluent street.
