GOD was having a difficult day. He'd been summoned to appear at an emergency debate of the Multiversal Court of Life Forms Rights to account for his actions during events known as the Great Flood.

The head of the MCLFR mentioned that there had been a slight delay in hearing the case but pointed out that a few thousand years was a very short period in the 13 billion year history of God's Universe.

The case brought by Life Forms Rights' lawyers centred on whether the Flood was a legitimate use of force to deal with the sins of humanity and corruption. While saying, with some pride, that the Flood had done, as He put it, "monumental damage", God said it had been necessary, to stop things from getting worse. He apologised for causing the extinction of dinosaurs but said that some collateral injuries were inevitable.
