Baz admits wrong call hit England

ENGLAND head coach Brendon McCullum conceded England got it wrong at the toss after their 336-run defeat at Edgbaston.

As skipper Ben Stokes swallowed the enormity of a crushing loss in the second Test, his fellow Bazball architect admitted England handed the initiative to India by bowling first.

McCullum said: “We ran second for five days. As the game unfolded we probably looked back on that toss and said we did miss an opportunity there.

“We didn't expect the wicket would play quite as it did and we probably got it slightly wrong.”
