Yes, we still want large heart-of-the-home kitchens for socialising but a place to corral piles of laundry and shut away noisy washing machines is gaining popularity fast.

If you don’t already have a suitable room, carving off a section of kitchen with access to running water should work but the fun part starts with deciding what to put in it.
