Russell reckons his countryman Lando will lead title race

GEORGE RUSSELL believes compatriot Lando Norris is the man to beat in this year's title race.

Entering his fourth season with Mercedes, Russell spent the previous three trying to get the better of team-mate Lewis Hamilton.

But now the seven-time world champion has joined rivals Ferrari, the 27-year-old has his eye on another talented Briton.

On the first day of pre-season testing in Bahrain yesterday, Russell said: “The wish is we're all having a good fight. A prediction? I think McLaren are going to be pretty strong.

“Lando said they found a lot over the winter and he's looking pretty confident.”
