£1.6m bill blow for Rebekah after latest Wagatha defeat

REBEKAH Vardy must pay £1.6million in legal bills over the Wagatha Christie saga after a judge threw out her bid to have the costs reduced.

The wife of Leicester City striker Jamie unsuccessfully sued Coleen Rooney in 2022. The pair have since been locked in a dispute over how much the former should pay.

Last October a judge ruled Coleen's lawyers had not committed misconduct after they were accused of understating some of her costs.

Rebekah appealed against the decision, but in a ruling yesterday High Court judge Mr Justice Cavanagh said: “The appeal must fail on the basis that the judge was entitled to reach the conclusion that he came to.”

The original legal action began after Coleen, 38, wife of ex-Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, accused fellow WAG Rebekah of leaking private information to the press.
