150 serving life sent to open prison by Labour

A SHOCKING 150 criminals serving life sentences have been moved to open prisons since Labour took office.
Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood has signed off two-thirds of transfers recommended by the Parole Board since August - up from just one in 10 between June 2022 and May 2023.
They also include 64 people jailed for public protection - known as IPP sentences.
