COVENTRY City completed a bit of sensible housekeeping by securing three of Frank Lampard’s regular back four on new contract extensions last week.

Centre-half Liam Kitching and fullbacks Milan van Ewijk and Jay Dasilva signed fresh deals to take them beyond the summer of 2027 when their initial terms with the Sky Blues were due to expire - a move that provides security for both the players and, crucially, the club.
