A 'GROSSLY inconsiderate' 20m high phone mast near a Coventry social club has been refused.

- By CLAIRE HARRISON News Reporter

We reported on the plans for a mast on on land adjacent to Barras Green Social Club in Coventry Street.

The applicant, Cornerstone, said that the facility is needed in the area to 'provide new 5G network coverage, as well as catering for future networks demands for Vodafone Three & VMo2 to this area of Coventry. But the city council has refused the initial application. A number of objections were raised to the plan by locals including that it would ne 'entirely out of character' with the surrounding low-rise residential area while another said it would 'dominate the skyline, resulting in significant harm to the visual amenity of local residents and users of Barras Green Park.
