Man who 'ran over' cop in stolen car jailed

A PROLIFIC thief stole a black BMW 5 series and 'ran over' a Coventry police officer.

Police say that Terrance Hannefin stole the car from Wroxall Drive in Willenhall.

The owner had left the car running to defrost on January 4 and the opportunistic 36-year-old struck, stealing the car and driving off towards St James Lane. Around eight minutes later, neighbourhood police officers clocked the car on Alex Grierson Close.
