MARION MCMULLEN DISCOVERS WHY FORMER MOCK THE WEEK PANELLIST ANDY PARSONS IS FINDING THE FUNNY SIDE OF THE NEWS IN HIS LATEST COMEDY SHOW

It would be nice if Elon Musk went to Mars

Your new tour is called Please #@!$ Off To Mars, in reference to Elon Musk, but would you like some others to blast off with him?

That's the idea. Elon Musk can set up his own SpaceX community with R2D2, C3PO and all his other children. Plus [Donald] Trump, [Nigel] Farage, Rachel Reeves and Keir Starmer.

It would be nice for Musk to go to Mars, just so as we can have something scary in space that might bring Earth together.

Could Elon Musk end up banning you from his social media site X?

I haven't posted there for a while anyway, but I've been increasingly active on Facebook and Instagram. You have to choose your poison.

I've put up clips that have had a few million views and are being seen by more viewers than would have seen me on an episode of Mock the Week.

It's just mad, but it's what the kids are into and, if you don't want an audience that is mainly your age and above, you have to do it.

"It's nice to see young faces out there.

What is it like being a satirist in 2025?

To be honest, I wouldn't necessarily describe myself as a satirist. I think that's a poison pill. I just like talking about what's going on in the news.

I'm always slightly baffled by how anyone might not talk about the news on stage, given that it literally affects almost everything that you're doing.

I'm doing comedy and I like talking about what's happening, it's about trying to get the best marriage of being funny and discussing what's going on in the world.
