DELIGHT AS GOVERNMENT PRAISES TOWN'S ARMISTICE DAY PARADE

GOVERNMENT praise has been heaped on Bedworth’s proud Armistice Day parade.

Ken Whitehead, the chair of the organising committee, said ‘it made my Christmas’ when he was surprised with a letter from John Healey, the Secretary of State for defence.

In the letter, he praised the committee for continuing the proud tradition of hosting the largest Armistice Day parade and service outside of London since 1921.
