Coventry man and his friend walking to Snowdon for charity

Shane Cole from Walsgrave and Joel Redhead set off on April 29 from Coventry on their first-ever long-distance hike in memory of Joel’s nephew Jude, who died in November 2024 shortly after his birth.

The duo plan to walk at least 15 miles a day to raise money for Chasing Rainbows, a Hull-based charity that helps support families who have lost a child. They aim to camp each night along the walking route, ending at Snowdon.

Joel became friends with Shane through their work as TikTok influencers. They were involved in separate charity events supporting mental health awareness. This is the duo’s first time embarking on a walking challenge to raise money for a charity close to Joel’s heart.
