DRIVERS in Somerset should make the most of free parking on Sundays as it is all set to change come autumn.
At the moment many streets and parking spots are free on Sundays, although not in places like Bath and Bristol.
Somerset Council is set to introduce parking charges across the county at the end of the summer, but the process has been delayed due to staffing and other issues which may please some motorists.
In some places people will have to pay until 7pm on Sundays, so drivers are warned to keep a close eye on where they park and not take it for granted it is free on Sundays.
Somerset Council has admitted its controversial plans to expand parking charges across the county are facing delays — but confirmed Sunday charges are still due to be introduced later this year.
