Super-fit octogenarian gears up for the ultimate challenge

The world-renowned fitness expert, academic and lifelong athlete from Johnstown, Carmarthen, is preparing to take on one of the world's toughest fitness challenges - Hyrox, at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday, May 31.

Hyrox is a global fitness competition which combines functional strength exercises with endurance running/walking.

Accessible for elite athletes and everyday fitness enthusiasts alike, it is one of the most inclusive and exciting events in the fitness world.

Known for its electric atmosphere, Hyrox challenges participants to complete eight 1km runs, each followed by a series of workouts including lunges, jumps and burpees.
