New gym in town is just the right fit for women
Carmarthen Journal
|May 21, 2025
A NEW gym is standing out from a crowded market because it has one very different selling point.
The owner of KC Leisure in Carmarthen has set out to create a safe space for women to exercise in an environment they can be entirely comfortable in - because men are not allowed to use it.
But it’s more than just a gym for women. This is a Wellness Centre, described as “a holistic sanctuary where health, balance and community come together to nurture your mind, body and lifestyle”.
Situated in Parc Pensarn on the outskirts of Carmarthen, KC Leisure is close to other gyms, so it was had to offer something different in order to stand out in a competitive market.
And stand out it does, in a newly built, state-of-the-art, two-storey building with plenty of parking.
Upstairs is a large studio, a main gym room, changing facilities, and a room offering a sauna and cold bath therapy called Fire and Ice Retreat. You can do all sorts of classes too, including core blasts, boot camps and warrior workouts.
