Telangana calls for greater center-state collaboration in clean energy

: At the 'Urja Manthan 2025' conference held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today, Telangana Industries and IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu highlighted the state's efforts in clean energy and called for enhanced Centre-State cooperation to ensure sustainable energy development.

The national conference was organized by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and chaired by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Ministers from 22 states participated in the meeting, sharing their perspectives on India's energy security and collaborative strategies.
Representing the Telangana government, Minister Sridhar Babu emphasised the importance of mutual cooperation between the Centre and states in advancing India's clean energy future.
He elaborated on Telangana’s initiatives under its Clean and Green Energy Policy 2025, stating that the state is taking significant strides in promoting biofuels, compressed biogas (CBG), and expanding city gas distribution (CGD) networks, especially into tier-II cities.
