No problems in procurement of Rabi Grain : Collector Ila Tripathi

As per the orders of the state government, the procurement of grain in Nalgonda district is going on smoothly and there are no problems, District Collector Ila Tripathi told State Civil Supplies and Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy.

On Wednesday, State Civil Supplies, Irrigation and Food Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy held a video conference with the collectors of all districts, civil supplies and officials of the relevant departments from Hyderabad on the procurement of Rabi grain. When asked about the grain procurement undertaken so far in Nalgonda district and the problems faced in the procurement of grain, District Collector Ila Tripathi replied that no problems have arisen in the procurement of grain in Nalgonda district so far. She explained that two hundred percent allocations have been made to each mill so that the rice millers in the district can immediately take the grain on the road.

However, although the mills are unloading the grain to the capacity of the mills, it would be better if they were given the opportunity to store the grain in the agricultural market godowns, and therefore she requested that permission be given to store the grain in the three agricultural market godowns near Devarakonda.
