Land Acquisition and R&R Works for Irrigation Projects to be Expedited : Special Officer G. Ravi Naik

Special Officer for the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district, G. Ravi Naik, has directed officials to expedite land acquisition and rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R) works related to ongoing irrigation and lift irrigation projects in the district.

On Tuesday, a review meeting was held at the VC Hall of the Integrated District Offices Complex (Collectorate), in the presence of District Collector Viziendira Boyi. The review focused on the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme, particularly the land acquisition and R&R efforts for the under-construction Udandapur Reservoir.

The meeting also reviewed land acquisition progress for other major projects like Koilsagar and Mahatma Gandhi Lift Irrigation Schemes.

Officials informed that several villages in Jadcherla mandal—Vallur, Udandapur, Thummalakunta Tanda, Regadipatti Tanda, Chinna Gutta Tanda, Ontigudise Tanda, and Shamgadda Tanda—are expected to be submerged due to the Udandapur reservoir.
