HUNDREDS gathered at the Hillsong Church in Century City to pay their final respects to kidnapped and murdered businessman Roger Brijlal who was laid to rest on Friday.
Albatross Transport Service owner, Brijlal, a well-known figure in the logistics industry and a philanthropist, was last seen leaving for work on September 9.
His car was found hours later in Joe Slovo, prompting his fiancée to report him missing. His body was discovered in Philippi East on September 16.
Family and friends remembered the Milnerton man as not only a logistics entrepreneur but also a devoted philanthropist and golfer.
Before starting his business, Albatross, he served in the Navy for two years and borrowed around R30 000 to purchase his first van.
