THE BOOKSELLER Lorena Franco Multi-cast narration AUDIBLE STUDIOS
IT TOOK only a few lines of The Bookseller for me to know I was in for something special. The latest offering from Lorena Franco, narrated by a talented multi-cast team from Audible Studios, pulls you into the quiet yet unsettling life of Daphne Wood, the local bookseller in the quaint village of Castle Combe.
Initially, I found myself mildly irritated by Daphne's overthinking tendencies. Her incessant worries felt a bit over the top — hasn't every book club member been there, worrying about the neighbours or gossip? But soon enough, this minor annoyance transformed into an appreciation for her character's depth and the intricacies of the plot.
