He doubled down on rhetoric, dismissed genocide findings, and mocked the two-state solution — but the world should not be fooled.
Netanyahu’s charge that recognition of Palestine “rewards terrorism” is a distortion. France, Spain, and others that recognised Palestine this year did so to keep alive the possibility of a political settlement and to protect civilians. Recognition is not a trophy for militants; it is a diplomatic act meant to preserve peace. Pretending otherwise is a scare tactic.
