Eynesbury get back on track with big win

March 12, 2026

AFTER failing to score in their last two fixtures Eynesbury Rovers hit the goal trail at Godmanchester Rovers as they recorded a 6-2 United Counties League Premier South victory, their biggest of the season.

A brace each from Jordan Brown and Cole Butler, plus a Dean Dummett effort and an own goal gave Eynesbury their third win over Godmanchester this season.

Just two weeks ago they knocked them out of the Hinchingbrooke Cup with a 3-1 semifinal success at Hall Road and earlier in the season had beaten Goddy 4-1 in the Hunts Senior Cup. Prior to that the teams played out a goalless league draw earlier in the season.

The game was played at a frantic pace, as you would expect from a local derby, but also in good spirit and the referee cautioned just one player and that was in the 90th minute.
