A BURTON care home joined the nation in marking Armistice Day with a series of special commemorations.

Throughout the week, residents of Amber Wood Care Home were busy creating poppy decorations to adorn the home.

On Remembrance Sunday, residents and staff gathered for a tea party whilst watching the TV coverage.

The home also hosted a remembrance-themed performance with entertainers singing nostalgic songs from the war years.
