Roll up, roll up for village show

CIRCUS SKILLS, MUSIC, HANDICRAFT, AND FOOD AND DRINK ON OFFER

MAYFIELD is set to host a day of summer fun for villagers and visitors featuring competitions, circus skills and live music.

Three community groups have come together to put on the village show, which takes place from midday to 4pm on Saturday, August 9. Admission is free.

It will feature free-to-enter horticulture, handicraft and junior classes, with rosettes and place cards sponsored by Mayfield couple Graham and Jane Woodhouse.

The fun-packed afternoon will be followed by an evening of live music from State of Mind at Mayfield Memorial Hall from 7.30pm. Once again, admission is free.

A spokesperson said: “Organising this event has been a huge team effort and we are so excited to bring a day of community-spirited fun to the village.
