FORCE MAKES 44 ARRESTS & SEIZES DRUGS & £100K CASH

- By MAIL REPORTER

'Police week of action has made our streets safe and protected those at risk of being exploited'

POLICE arrested more than 40 people and seized 2.6kg of cocaine along with £100,000 in cash during a huge countywide drugs operation.

Over the course of six days Staffordshire Police ramped up efforts to snare drug dealers and shut down enterprises moving across borders to set up in the county.

Now senior detectives say the crackdown, which took place between June 23 and June 29, represents the most successful to date.

It came as part of a nationwide initiative around shutting down county lines and protecting those who were being exploited.
