PUBLIC URGED TO HAVE THEIR SAY ON PROPOSED CHANGES IN GOVERNANCE REVIEW
A REVIEW of town and parish councils could see the creation of new authorities for Coalville and Thringstone in North West Leicestershire.
The Community Governance Review will run over the next year and could also lead to changes to boundaries, warding arrangements and the names of existing town and parish councils.
The review will be carried out in two consultation phases, with the first running until February 7.
Following consideration of the responses, a second phase will take place in summer 2026, asking for feedback on a set of recommendations.
Any changes agreed as part of the review would come into effect at the May 2027 local elections.
