Plan unveiled for glamping pods on farm

DIVERSIFICATION BID TO MEET RISE IN 'STAYCATION' DEMAND

THE owners of a Staffordshire farm have submitted plans for five glamping pods as they look to diversify.

Wood View Caravan Site, in Morrilow Heath near Uttoxeter, already has ten pitches for caravans.

Now the owners say that increasing popularity of staycations and the success of the site has led them to expand their offering to satisfy demand. It is also planned to replace the shower block and provide five car parking spaces.

The glamping pods are set to be located next to the existing caravan site on a piece of 'unproductive' land. Each would have a seating area, shower facilities and a minimum of a double bedroom.
