Makers' market to expand as demand continues to grow

A POPULAR Burton wool shop and makers' market is expanding after being overwhelmed by support from the local community.
The Crafty Attic, based above Helen's Bakehouse and Tearooms in Market Place, is adding extra space to showcase more independent crafters and makers.
The 320 sq ft venue is home to more than 30 local creatives selling handmade gifts and homeware, alongside a dedicated wool shop and haberdashery.
TV knitting star Stephanie Thompson, who appeared on Channel 4's Game of Wool, officially opened the expanded space and praised the business for supporting small independent traders.
