GRESLEY beat United Counties Premier League North high-fliers Boston Town 2-0 in an entertaining game at the Moat Ground.

The visitors arrived at the top of the table but returned home knowing they had been well beaten but still clinging to top spot - level on points with Sherwood Colliery. Gresley are 15th.

The home side welcomed back Sam Moore after missing the last couple of games and Ash Garner who had completed his suspension.

Calum Whetton came in from the reserves to bolster the back line with Alby Lansdowne missing due to holidays.

The visitors started well with a low shot which Tom Everest-Hancock comfortably held but Gresley’s Moore started to indicate what was to come with a shot just wide of the near post.
