Council secures £472k to help rough sleepers
Burton Mail
|May 23, 2025
A STAFFORDSHIRE council has been awarded more money from the government to help prevent rough sleeping and homelessness.
The money will enable the purchase of four homes which can be used to alleviate the problem.
East Staffordshire Borough Council has been awarded £472,500 in the latest round of the Local Authority Housing Fund.
The scheme has two main aims - responding to emerging homelessness pressures from the identified group, and delivering social rented accommodation which will support wider homeless issues in the area.
