MEMBERS of the community union Acorn 'crossed the line' when they invaded the Bristol science visitor attraction We The Curious, and have now been banned from protesting there again.

That's the message from the venue's chief executive Donna Speed in a strongly-worded statement to its supporters and to Acorn.

She said she was 'incredibly disappointed' with the events that unfolded on Saturday, July 19, which saw around 80 activists from Acorn take over the foyer of the visitor attraction near Bristol's harbourside, and announced that everyone would be admitted free, as part of a protest against We The Curious' links to military and arms companies connected to Israel.

We The Curious said it had to close around an hour early because of public safety issues, and while many said they supported Acorn's intentions, other visitors who had booked tickets and time slots were critical of how they were treated when they arrived.
