Rugby Luatua and Thacker ruled out of Bears' clash with Sharks

BRISTOL Bears head north to take on Sale Sharks tonight with a place in the Gallagher Premiership play-offs essentially on the line - and they do so without without two of their acesflanker Steven Luatua and hooker Harry Thacker.
Coming into the penultimate round of the regular season, Bristol sit in third place in the table after a 36-14 win over a much changed Bath side last weekend at the Principality Stadium in a highly successful first 'big game' run by the club.
Sale are in fourth spot after a 44-34 defeat away at second-place Leicester Tigers, but come into the match having dismantled the Bears 38-0 at Ashton Gate back in December to leave some potential scar tissue heading into the weekend.
It was confirmed yesterday that Luatua and Thacker had joined Tomas Gwilliam, Lovejoy Chawatama, Steele Barker, George Taylor, Sam Worsley, Noah Heward, Jack Bates, Harry Rowson and Max Malins on the Bears' unavailable list.
Former All Black Luatua limped off the pitch during last Saturday's match at the Principality Stadium.
