Restaurant group's future looks uncertain after defaulting on CVA
Bristol Post
|July 10, 2025
THE future of a restaurant group with two branches in Bristol and one each in Bath and Cheltenham is up in the air after defaulting on its company voluntary arrangement (CVA).
-
The Coconut Tree, with restaurants at the Clifton Triangle and Cheltenham Road, owes HMRC £1.6 million, according to documents filed to the Companies House. The group entered into the CVA last summer, following hopes to grow its 50 establishments. As well as two locations in Bristol, the Sri Lankan group has one in Bath and one in Cheltenham.
