A BODY has been recovered from the water during the search for a missing Bristol man.

Police Body discovered in river in search for missing man Mohamed

Mohamed Yacub was reported missing by family members on the evening of Sunday, January 18.

Officers found the body in the River Frome at around 9am yesterday.

The discovery was made as part of the investigation into the whereabouts of Mohamed Yacub.

Mohamed was reported missing by family members on the evening of Sunday, January 18.

While formal identification is yet to take place, police have informed his next of kin.

The family is currently being supported by officers.

A police spokesperson said: "Our thoughts are with them, and we request people respect their privacy at this difficult time."

Mohamed, 39, had been missing for more than three weeks.
