Fry plays down Peterborough's chances of signing Rovers defender
Bristol Post
|June 09, 2025
PETERBOROUGH United director of football Barry Fry has played down the club’s chances of signing Bristol Rovers defender Connor Taylor this summer, as the Gas and new director of football Ricky Martin look to stand firm when it comes to dealing with interest in their prized assets.
The Bristol Post understands Peterborough made an opening bid for the centre-back last month but the offer was nowhere near a figure that would have even started negotiations. A second bid has not been lodged.
Other League One clubs are understood to be interested in the 23-year-old but have not yet submitted an enquiry, let alone an opening bid.
