DARRELL Clarke admitted there is still a “fragile” mentality within his Bristol Rovers group after they started their League Two campaign with a second consecutive defeat, having gone down 2-1 at Fleetwood Town on Saturday.

- Dan HARGRAVES

Rovers ended last season with a disastrous run of just one point in their final 10 games, which saw their relegation from League One confirmed. Their last competitive win came way back on March 11, while their last success on the road was on January 4.

The Gas started brightly at Highbury Stadium but conceded two soft goals in the first half before halving the deficit via a Promise Omochere penalty in the second period.

It followed a 1-0 home defeat to Harrogate Town where, as against Fleetwood, Rovers had positive spells but found themselves on the wrong side of decisive moments.
