Football 'Flexible' Mola happy to play wherever needed by Rovers

CLINTON Mola, despite giving away a first-half penalty, looked comfortable throughout Bristol Rovers' 1-0 defeat against Gillingham.

The 24-year-old played as the left centre-back, with Tom Lockyer to his right and regularly found himself driving into space and combining with Bryant Bilongo, who was in a more advanced position.
Speaking to the Bristol Post about his link work with Bilongo, Mola said: “Yeah, I've played with Bilongo at the beginning of last season mainly. Obviously, I know him well, and I know what he likes to do, and we complement each other well, so yeah, it’s good playing with Bry.”
Bilongo joined three days after Mola in the summer of 2024, and scored on his debut against Northampton Town in League One. Midway through the campaign, the 24-year-old joined Harrogate Town on loan, making 16 appearances in the fourth tier.
