FORCES CLARIFIES RESTRICTIONS ON THEIR USE

OFFICERS have cleared up some misconceptions over e-scooters as the devices continue to plague the streets.

Police in Grantham say one of their neighbourhood priorities is tackling riders using off-road motorbikes inappropriately.

The force says e-scooters are not a replacement for those with mobility needs, such as an alternative to a mobility scooter. Officers seized one of the e-scooters was seized on Tuesday, May 6, in the town.

In a post on the Grantham Police Facebook page, the team states: "Some residents have a belief that an e-scooter can be used by those with mobility needs, as a replacement for a mobility scooter or other mobility aid.
