Mum refused to let inspectors in to house to check on dogs

A mum handed a suspended prison sentence for animal cruelty stopped RPSCA inspectors from visiting dogs in her care, it has emerged.

As the Gazette reported last week, Michelle Wilding, 59, and her 41-year-old son Christopher, both of Mains Lane, Poulton-le-Fylde, were both given suspended jail terms, while Jack Wilding, 29, of the same address, received financial penalties.

All three were banned from keeping animals for a total of 40 years after Lancaster Magistrates Court heard they housed dogs in cramped, dirty cages at their home.
