Lifeboat station opens doors to the public for annual open day

There was a community celebration on Saturday as local volunteers welcomed visitors to the Lytham St Annes Lifeboat station open day.

The Barbara Anne's RNLI Boathouse on South Promenade, next to the swimming baths on Eastbank Road, allowed visitors to step inside the working station, tour the All-weather Shannon class lifeboat 'Barbara Anne', and meet the volunteer crew who launch and operate her.
